About I think this is my passion thus far in photography! I can see so many things when I look through a macro lens.
Thanks for looking.

And for the water drops, I buy a pack of that colored tissue paper, you know for putting in gift bags for bday presents or whatever? It usually has a set of 4 different colors in it, So I get 2 different sets of colors, making 8 colors in total.I get it from the grocery store in the candle isle, but here's an example of what I'm talking about:
http://www.alwaysbrilliant.com/aa/aspx-products/1-8156/2-58537/SC-Froogle/kw-155115/bb/Colored-Tissue-Paper.htm
Using the macro lens, on manual, and macro setting, a desk lamp pointed at the ceiling or directly at the dripping faucet, whichever you prefer,
then I take that gift wrap/colored tissue paper, leaving it all together for the colors to be various, fold it up about a 4 inch square, and stick it under the dripping faucet itself, and then you're ready to do it! Ok so for the base, to have the water bounce off the surface, I used several things, just experimenting with them all. A large silver spoon/flat spatula, a flat plastic jewelry box, or sometimes even the drain plug itself. I've attempted a CD because it has a great reflection-

thanks for looking:)

An awesome background to another variation in this field of your photography my dear Pam, gorgeous tones. I love in particular the swirling whirlpool created by the droplets striking the surface; fabulous. Now I can see other things emerging from the shot. the ripples are the signs of a rocket leaving the surface of the planet as it blasts off to rejoin the mother ship; how am I doing? Now I see in the main body of water, just before the droplets are formed, a long necked single stem vase. Wonderful photography sweetie and an absolute joy to view.
Nearly a year ago I lightened my gadget bag considerably and simplified my approach to photography. I use one body and one all round lens these days. The one lens I have regrets about selling was 100mm Canon macro , you are using yours with great expertise. Another hug and all the best to you......Ray
PS I don't always type so many words Pam, I promise comments won't take a year to read in future

Pamela, your beautiful droplets are the best!! I don't think I've ever seen one in the shape of a heart and you have a lovely soft red background to go with it! And I will say it again, your titles are always so appropriate! You are a great artist! Looks like this one is ready to be signed sealed and delivered for Valentine's Day. :)

Always the best,
Brigitte
