I personally like the rough feel of this image (rough as in rough camera - soft focus and soft tones (even though it isn't tech. rough)
Regarding the idea to flip it - I found it humorous because it reflects a comment someone made to me recently - I quote Hermen Penn: "Intuitively, I would associate looking to the left with looking into the past, and looking to the right with looking into the future. Maybe that has something to do with reading from left to right?"
I think we feel the same thing about the fence line and it is disturbing. I think this is good it makes us look and think harder than a traditional subject.
These comments are based on the fact that to me this image reads from right to left.

Just wanted to let you all know that the soft focus feel was not intentional but a side effect of a photoshop action I used. Although it was not intentional I rather liked the effect but I will not be using the same action again as I wanted a sharp crisp image.
I will try it again and see if I can elimimate the soft feel.

Hi, Steven. The balance and contrast is good, but something went wrong with focus, as the foregroung is a bit off. Was it really your intention? It seems like you set an infinite focus. If it's true and it was intended, perhaps you should add some comment on it. Best regards.

Is it me, or do people assume that they can alter your photos without permission? does copyright not come into it?
