Hello Melek, and thank you for the welcome to usefilm. I too loved the seaside in sunset, infact I had travelled across the country for the first time and my friends were very kind to arrange for me to spend an hour or two with the setting sun on the ocean. It was the first time I had seen the sun set on the ocean, as usually I am on the eastern side of autralia, where the sun rises over the ocean. It was wonderful to have this time to experiment and even more amazing to take this wonderful photo of my friend's daughter. Thank you for your comments! Jacqueline

Dear Jacqueline!
This is one of the best "shots of its type" I have ever seen. Obviously totally spontaneous and more or less a candid, even if the child was initially aware of you and your camera's presence, she is paying you no mind, but enthusiastically going about her joyful task of being a "shell picker". :) That, to me, makes this shot extra special. To capture "the moment", which is but a fraction of a second in time, is something to be proud of! Many attempt to do this and fail. You have really succeeded here; excelled, in fact :)
The magick lighting and tones are delightful and the image is pin sharp! Composition fabulous! The child is not placed in the exact centre of frame, but a little to viewing left. This makes me keen to explore the rest of the image even though the focal point is the child busy collecting her precious shells. Depth of field with your chosen apeture is also excellent; and the shutter speed, (which to me appears to be somewhere around 1/125th second ?), is to my way of thinking, the "right" choice. The child is as if "frozen in time", not in the least hampered by any motion blur. Also, the shutter speed works well with the water/waves.
If this were my shot, I believe I would have placed it in "The Decisive Moment" Project, but everything I say, is my personal opinion, and merely a suggestion to you, which is your choice to take or leave.
Congratulations on a wonderful image, and I look forward to seeing much more of your work!
All the very best to you, Aniko :)
