Great capture John, I tried the same with little succes... regarding your question, In fact I cut the baby using the magic wang and then paste it against a solid black background, My first try was to just Burn all the background with PS but this way worked better. The photo appears a bit soft on my screen,and I think it's a resizing problem since your lens/film combination are the sharpest available! The location is perfect and the long exposure technique is effective,but I find the big black rock on the right a bit distracting.I believe that this image would be more attractive in it's original velvia colour.Keep up your good work!
