Megan, you are right, this was taken on a cold wet & miserable day. I could have added more color & made it brighter, I decided against it. I'm glad that you like it.

Oh the poor bird. :( I really like the composition of this photo, and I also like the fact that the colours are dull grays and browns, I feel it gives the photo a moody feeling like it was taken on a cold, wet, miserable day. Good job.
