Gosia,
I've been sitting here for about ten minutes just staring at this photo trying to figure out what i like best about it.
I love the different textures of the background, the scratched up floor, the soft stripy sofa and the mesh over what i assume are windows. I love the light and the pose and the defiant expression on her face makes it seem like there really is a child looking out throught the face of an adult.
An excellent B&W portrait.
