Larkspur is a small town in Marin County that looks like time stood still a number of years ago. A village-like downtown and wonderful homes, many in the classic California bungalow style. It has a private library, good eating at many fine cafes and restaurants, excellent schools, a volunteer fire department and lots of friendly people. This is a wonderful place to raise children. The downtown area has several barber shops and Bill's is where my son-in-law gets his hair cut. The window struck me as having a classic and timeless look about it; probably just the font of the sign. A place that makes you feel welcome.
Totally agree about the sign Jan... Timeless... You know there'll be a friendly face and fun banter inside, all free with good service thrown in...:)))
My dad is known as Bill... full of cheek and imagination, he'd have a ball in that barber shop... :)))
Thanks, Liz. The inside of the shop looked like an old-time bar with rich and dark wood and old but immaculately clean fixtures and furniture. Very nice place. --Best to you, Jan
