Thanks Meg,as I wrote to Txules,(above comment in Spanish)the halo was caused by the unsharp mask which I hadn't noticed until he mentioned it-probably because my monitor needs to be darkened down a little!

There is as you will already know a halo around the poppies, most noticable on the largest on the left. Was this due to sharpening in Photoshop or perhaps the shadow/highlight tool?
Anyway apart from that the colours are lovely and I can't fail to like it when it's a photo of my favorite poppies! :)

Gracias por tu comentario sobre el halo!El cupable ha sido el herramiento unsharp mask y reduciendo su efecto sobre el original Tiff, desaparece el halo.

espero no te hayas roto el cuello; me encanta la silueta Tony y la fantástica composición, pero creo que el halo blanco que rodea las flores estropea el resultado final (quizás debido a la compresión); también clonaría las hierbas de la izquierda; un abrazo....txules

This is fabulous! I really like the angle the photo is taken; it enhances the beauty of the shot creates the back lighting. I like every thing about this image. Very beautiful!
