This is definetly my favorite of the "Anna" pictures. She sure is beautiful. This one captures her softer, more real personality. I love the placement of the hands and the very sharp, "right on" DOF focused on her facial features.

Beautiful portrait Chris. Some really excellent photography in this series. Just reminds me of how good, good monochrome really is. This image is one of my favourites

Like the relaxed, distinctive pose.

Chris, just saw your reply after I posted my second comment. I understand what you said and think your monochrome work is outstanding. It is one of my yardsticks as to what constitutes a good target to meet. :)

Cheers!

Hello again Chris. This was what I was trying to explain. I don't have the PS skills to do what I want and could not float a section and clone as required. I settled for cropping off the detail that I thought could be lost. This was done to show the idea and not the format. I feel really uncomfortable taking a knife to the work of another person and I sincerely apologise to you if this was not how you saw the shot. :)

Cheers!

Jeff, I agree with your comment. All the shots were taken within two shoots and I did not know the results until after I was done. Now I know how to avoid that hairlight.

Another great piece of monochrome work Chris. I loved the skin tones and the pose on this picture. I was not sure about the hair highlight that seemed to compete for my attention. Like many critics, I don't necessarily have any better ideas. :) For my money I would have left her hair in the shadows and possibly lost it from the hand on the left as well. For balance it then may have required to bring your beautiful model slightly more to the left. Still... I wish I had taken it and your pictures encourage me to do better.

Cheers!

Jeff
