About My last snow sculpture! This one is of Cindy Klassen, our homegrown Olympic and world speed skating champion. She's shown with a bison, which is one of the symbols of Manitoba, and also of Manitoba Telecom Service, with whom she has an endorsement contract.
Winnipeg's historic Fort Garry Hotel is in the background.

The most dynamic of the series, Dave! Your exposure is great for retaining details in the snow and also in the background.

Amazing intricate work, very well captured. I would think it was hard to capture the detail in snow. Very impressive.

Hi Yoshiyuki, thanks for the comments! This shot was taken on February 21, 2007. We still don't have to worry about them melting though as it is -30C. right now! We are expecting above freezing temperatures later in the week though, and hopefully that will be the end of the really cold weather.
Dave.

Very impressive snow sculpture here, I like the haeds of the bisons! And the wonderful choice of background is a bonus! I saw you posted it on March 3rd, but was it taken on that day or earlier? We are now fighting here the strong winds of spring!!!

Dave, I have enjoyed your snow sculpture series very much. The abouts you included adds to the enjoyment. It is not easy to capture the detail of snow and you have done an outstanding job. It must be a most interesting and enjoyable series. Thanks so much for sharing. Well done my friend. Del.

Hi Dave,
Excellent shot of a really impressive snow sculpture. Very good use of the light and exposure showing the detail in the sculpture very well. Very nice composition with the sculpture standing out nicely against the darker buildings and framed by the branches on the right. Very good info text.

All the best,
Joe
