Too true Michele... We are lucky here, although on restrictions the fact we can see and hear water makes a difference... We are on the Murray River and a lake that is full... It is used for irrigation, so lake levels rarely alter... :)
Drought and bushfires really take a toll on communities, especially the rural areas and it has been extremely bad over the last years...
We had more rain over this past week, so, maybe, fingers X that it is the beginning of good years ahead... At least for a while...:)

Great abstract Leonie - I like the simplicity and the colour tone moved it to the surreal. Depending on ones angle of view this can appear to look like two blocks with a dark band of space between them or as the tip of a canna leaf. Well taken!

It can rain for 40 days and 40 nights Larry...~~GRIN~~ It is so dry, a lot of areas are no outside watering at all... My parents are two hrs. away and they've had that restriction for twelve months... They recycle all their grey water, have put in a tank and this is in the middle of a city... My Dad said today, they have very little of their once beautiful garden left... It is sad... So, if I have to build an ark with those weapons in the shed...I will with pleasure...~~GRIN~~... except rain will hold up our new home being finished...

:)... I would have also liked a tad more clarity Annemette...~~GRIN~~ I cropped this from a larger take which I will upload later... Just thought this looked nice with the blue, so I'm glad it was calm and soothing for you...:)) We need a bigger camera for what I'd love to do...:)
... and no, rain is fine... No trade for snow LOL... I like the heat... I'll send the sun, a large box... express post just for you ... :)

~~GRIN~~ Riny... I just do my thing when I aim the camera... :) Half the time I haven't a clue, just look with my eye and hope the camera sees it the same way...:) Plus, I like all sorts visually... so why not have a go...:) Thank you kindly for your interest Riny...:)

Although I could have wished for a tad more clarity on the droplet I find this to be so soothing and calm to look at, gorgeous colour, Onie:-) Good to get some rain, eh? Wanna trade with loads of snow? I could sure use some sun:-)
