About This fat toad helps in the garden eating some of all the snails. I never use pesticides/poison of any kind in the garden because I want to preserve nature, give all insects, birds etc. a place that is healthy to live in(not counting airpollution..)and also trying not to harm the water that we all depend on. Even though my effort means very little in the big picture, I feel very good about it, and I hope to be able to inspire other people to do the same. Many small creeks make a big river.

Thank you for your colourful comment, Jan!
Yes, this toad was very big and tried to hide near some strawberries where snails enjoy having a feast:-)
Indeed it looks too sharp. Thank you for mentioning it.
Best wishes to you and your wife, the froghunters:-)

Very nice.
I had to really look to see what the subject was as he blends pretty well with his surroundings.
I also think this photo may be a bit oversharpened. Check your options before uploading?

My wife and I love toads and frogs and often find them on our lawn, in the woods and in the garden. They seem like gentle and funny creatures and are great fun to watch. It is hard to tell the size of this one as there is no scale comparison but I get the impression that it is pretty big. I like the photo but it looks a bit over-sharpened, which may have happened when it was uploaded to USEFILM.
--Best to you, Jan
