I walked all around this one tree in a field trying to come up with a good composition with the sun overhead but it seemed like there were distracting backgrounds everywhere that would take away from the loneliness. It is a little awkward comp. .Thanks for the honest opinion Pat!...RICK

I am not sure what to say about this one, it is interesting enough to grab my attention but upon a closer look, the composition seems to lose me. I think maybe the centered comp. is what is throwing it off. You have the tree centered in the frame but the moon’s position is not symmetrical or centered between the tree and the top of the frame. I do not know how you framed it in the camera but I do think if you could shift the frame down maybe 10% or even crop some off the top it would relieve some tension in the composition. IMHO.
The light, exposure, color/tones and vignette are all superb.

Never like fog but this shot while its foggy is quite beautiful i like how you captured the lone tree with the moon focusing on it!Well captured!
