Hi Kes, I have the 18-200mm Nikon ordered and they said it will be 3 months....i hope to get it before my next trip to Patagonia in April. I also ordered the 70-300mm VR Nikon just in case the 18-200 didn't make it in time...fingers crossed. In the mean time i have to paint like hell and hope to sell enough paintings to cover the up coming expense....more crossed fingers....lol

Hi Tim, This has a real deep depth, great detail throughout. The bubbles have an overall "smooth" diamond shape, and are well composed in not running off the bottom off the shot.
You were right, no 18-200 for Christmas, lol. If you want to pay $300 over list, I think Amazon.com has them. Looks like I'll wait a bit longer. Still buy the occasional lotto ticket...but the recent overtime work may get me a 12-24 like yours.
Wishing you a safe and prosperous New Year, kes

Yeah - the ice freezes in layers and the current bubbles underneath form patterns, this is so incredibly wicked cool.
thanks for posting it - really neat.

A great phenomenom to capture here, Tim, and you've done it well! I like the way you've encapsulated it in a good landscape shot as well. Dave.
