Hi Alan, I like the soft look and earthy colour tones. I am with Doyle the line on the right is a bit distracting but can be easily removed. Regards, Chris

Alan, lovely contrast and colors. I'm a big fan of grasses and other plants "gone to seed." Great shot.

I agree with Doyle on the horizontal leaf, although the one left below makes an interesting pair with it on the diagonal. The background is a work of art in itself with the glowing emerald greens and the earthy tones of the dry foliage.

By the way . . . as I'm not home and have no photo-editing software on this computer . . . I have used the paint program that came with the computer to just give you an idea of how this shot might look with the distraction removed. (Just something for you to consider). :)

Nicely done Al:
As a CC image I feel compelled to nit pick . . . errrrr . . . I mean, critically analyze this so here goes:
I find myself a tad bit distracted by a horizontal bar of amber oof foliage. Since it is the same color as the main subject I feel it might be better to remove it from the shot . . . ideally before you take the shot . . . :) I have attached a map to show you what, specifically, I'm referring to.
The DOF and bokeh, on the other hand . . . are superb! The green makes an outstanding complement to the subject and the dappled light and shade make for a really good capture here . . . Fine detail has been picked up very well due to the superior focal clarity and the overall result is very nice. Nice work!
