About
Interior view of Holy Trinity Church in Berwick-upon-Tweed. This church was built in 1652 by a London mason, John Young of Blackfriars, and is one of very few churches built during the Commonwealth under Oliver Cromwell. For an historic parish church it is unusual, in that it has no steeple, tower or church bell. Instead a bell in the Town Hall (built in 1754) is used to summon people to the church services at Holy Trinity (many visitors to Berwick mistake the Town Hall for the parish church).
Amazing how much detail stands out here given the low light when we were in that church.. do love the stonework showing here & the angle you have shot this, to include both windows, works very well... deserves many more comments & views :)
