The railing being crooked is an example of an unplanned shot, crooked lines are one thing when they help your image. I don't really see it as a help in this one.
Thanks daniel for the comment, the redness on Mark might be from the coldness, it was below zero this day, and i just opened my patio door to snap this. i didnt have a tripod either, are you saying the crooked lines are good or no?
Jake you've inspired me. I'm going to learn from your mistakes, which I with my untrained eye will notice.
Your subject is in center mass.. The lines are crooked.
With that, you have a good looking subject, clean cut, nice skin tone. Emphasize it. Go closer in on this one as the background really isn't interesting. Might even help to hold the camera vertically on this shot. The image here is pulling red in some odd places, looks as if you're getting some stray light.
