About This ia an image I took over a year ago in Melbourne, Fl. I loved this house with no windows ... no one lived here and I would take a break and from riding my bike and just sit and imagine I DID !!
I may have enhanced the color a bit too much ..altho it was always very green... I just wanted to view some tropical images..now that winter is here in the PNW .
I hope you like it but I welcoome all comments always !
Thank You !

So nice to have you back Doyle, even for a bit . You sure can spread yourself around well, and this is a compliment !

I understand what you are saying ( so this is good) I never thought about this image in B&W and I can't view it too well in the tiny thumbnail but I do plan to work with it as you have so I can see what you're seeing ! ha!
If you say it's good I would most likely agree... because this is why I listen to YOU ...right ?
I really like your work . You've got an incredible eye that constantly amazes me ....

Thank You soo much for your time. I know you've many friends and others who need your help, and You are also learning new things all the time ... So know that I really appreciate your complete focus and attention to so many of my projects... It will never be wasted , I promise You this !

Off to the Flower shop for me now ! We've had wild storms 120m/p/hr winds last night ...NO POWER ...so not a lot of work today.
Take Care,
Michele~

Michele:

I think (to my eye) the green is a tad overpowering. But with an image like this . . . you get a whole different feel for tropical and lush vegetation . . . and I understand that artistically that you are conveying an emotive image here . . . something which may not be exactly as it was, but rather, as it was remembered. That's fair game in this medium . . . and conveying a 'feel' has long been a sought after goal of artists throughout history! "Purist" photographers insist an image reflect accurately the scene as it was. That is, of course, while disdaining the other artistic approaches in favor of unfettered realism . . . then they screw on their polaroid filters, UV blockers, IR filters and colored filters . . . uhhhhh . . . yeah . . . whatever.

But we please ourselves first . . . without accepting just ANY result and explaining that's how we wanted it. So I think this image does work . . . at least for you . . . and in the way it speaks to an image of verdant and lush vegetation . . . it works for me too. Nice entry for the project too.

I've taken the liberty of looking a bit closer at this image and I think you have one of your best compositions here yet. Converting to B&W with a warming filter and slightly increasing the midtones and contrast . . . I was surprised to find an amazing shot hidden beneath the green. I have attached it for you to look at and be all proud of because, to my eye . . . it's wonderful. I would be proud to claim a shot like this as my own . . . and it still conveys a tropical (though different) feel to it. Not many shots are nice both in B&W and in color . . . This one is!

Hi Jason !

Thank You for your comment ...so glad you don't think I over-did it... this is how it looked to me.

The deal about Florida is generally if there are strong winds you just board it up ...but then I do know lots of people have problems with bugs and more so burglers than animals comming inside... Then as you pointed out the heavy duty rains would flood the place !
I was just day-dreaming ... I am very good at that !!!

Thanks again my friend !
Michele~

That is a lot of green, Michele. Looks natural though, I don't think you've over done it.

It may be a nice place to live on a sunny day like in the picture, you would likely reconsider having windows during a storm.

Jason.
