I'm always cautious of Festivals as well. Usually too many drunken photographers to dodge.

Jim,
Heck, I'm big city compaired to you. I've been here in the Dallas area for 25 years now. Can't wait to get back home someday. I was born in Canton, IL and left Galesburg, IL in 1981...
Small town living is where it's at my friend,

Fresh baked Danish! My home town is near Racine, Wisconsin, the home of great Danish and Kringle. I am sure I could eat my way through this festival with glee!

Bishop Hill wa a Swedish settlement. They are totally driven by tourist dollars. The town is tucked in a remote area of central Illinois... but what a great little town it is. I had a fresh baked Danish when I first arrived, then ate at the Filling Station for lunch. You can walk the entire town in an hour. This particular festival was a harvest celebration. More pics to follow.

Wonder what the one hundred-fifty Bishop Hillians celebrate at a "Caution Festival"? I like signage pictures. Well done. --Jan
