Thanks Michael,
The shot is plain. I wasnt even planning on making it up that far on the pass but once I was there I snapped a few shots. A hike in, even to the base would have been nice but I was neither prepared nor planning on taking such a trip alone. It was quite cold up there (though warmer than it was 7000 ft below). The last thing I would have wanted to do is hike in alone and roll my ankle with only a soft shell jacket to keep me warm.
Obviously the photo is not very dynamic, but I like how the compression of the long lens flattened everything down to one layer. The west face of the mountain is a huge monolith and I think the visual compression ads to the wall like appearance. What do you think of the high contrast and "off" color style I used?

Good documentation. Rather plain, kinda ordinary, but i think maybe for you this is one of those "zen" shots that takes you mentally back to the place and the experience of being there?

That Bierdstat looks like a beast to climb.
