Paul,
Thank you so much for your comment(s) as you have added many comments in which I have not replied. I don't have much time to respond to comments and most are generic in nature and really don't require a response. But it seems that you are interested in High Contrast images which is an area I am concentrating on developing in my portfolio. I like the "see more with less" aspect to the genre. I do not use PS in my editing. I use a program called Picture Window Pro from Digital Light & Color. It has a special feature section for high contrast. But of course I have to tweek mine often with changing the saturation, lightness and tone tools plus touch ups in paint to get what I feel captures the elements I like most in an image. Sometimes it comes out quick others takes hours. I think it's worth it usually.
Sometimes it never works out and I end up trashing it.
I took a look at your "Hero" HC. Very nice work. I find it often that those images that are just so-so in color work better. When you play in HC you see things that just didn't come out as strong in color.

The absence of nearly any other detail besides the policeman really strengthens this photo, Robert. I like it.
