About My lovely wife and I went out yesterday for our annual Champagne Road Trip - basically a picnicking excursion (within 250 km of home) involving some secluded spot, snacks, and a bottle of champagne. This year it was a grey and extremely windy day and finding a suitably sheltered spot was quite difficult. Ultimately we settled on the bucket of a front end loader in a lonely gravel pit near the town of Wynyward, Sask.

It was very difficult getting a clear shot - the wind was really nearly impossible. I had brought my tripod along to do one of the two of us, but didn't dare set it up with the wind the way it was.

What a great way to spend the day, Jon. Nice photo for the memories as well. We'll have to try it one day, maybe with a kid along to drive us home, ha ha ha.

Thanks, Michael. We've had a pretty constant stretch of 28-30 C weather the last couple of weeks - this was the first lousy day in a while. And it worked out fine after all.

Cheers,

Jon

Born clever, that's us. :-] We left the empty champagne bottle with a note sticking out of it on the seat of the front end loader - a little mystery for the crew when they go back to work.

cheers,

Jon
