Unfortunately, the spike does not appear to go through the hand. In order to complete the illusion we must believe that it does. Also, I wonder why you chose to use such nice wood when everything else has that worn, dirty, and beaten look about it? If there is a reason, I'm afraid I do not understand.
Of course the perspective and the set-up for the shot are wonderful.
