I hear you there. The composition can be paramount.
Those screens can be useful, but until I have it on the big screen I really don't know what I have. I have been fooled in both directions.

yeah, i can zoom on my screen as well, but it's still so small it's hard to tell if it really is in focus or not. and i had a couple shots that were clearer, but the comp of this one was my favorite so i was willing to make it work.

Yeah. That's a lot of work. I'm always inclined to just re-shoot. I typically take a few images to ensure that I've got a good image (that is one that's not blurry). My camera can zoom on the screen, so I can inspect a shot pretty well after I've taken it (not perfect). It's frustrating to get one that's fuzzy.
When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a double with a nude or semi-nude woman imposed onto the blue region. When I saw the whole image that feeling stuck even though the image clearly lacks any nude women.

sexy eh? haha
honestly, there's about an hour's worth of ps work on it. i didn't use my tripod so there was the slightest motion blur in it and i had to keep rotating between unsharp mask and the digital camera noise removal filter to fix it, and then i bumped the saturation a smidge and corrected the color level. it was a bit orange around the edges for my taste considering they were in a blue vase.

I don't know why this strikes me as being so sexy. It shouldn't, but it does. The colors are interesting. How much PS work was done?
