Hi Avi, Thanks for your email! I think I need better lenses! I did shoot at a smaller aperture, but I think that the effect on the leaves being sharp is a result of the small f stop. And the subject is also close to the grass leaves... I am considering a different lens since I have noticed unsharp images despite the VR feature of my lens, everything was shot handheld.
But I do appreciate your honest comments!

Dear Jinggoy,
The simple humor in this picture makes it a bestseller! You have captured very nice tones on the flamengoes' pink plummage - good play of light there.
Another striking thing on this photo is the red button-like eyes of the birds. Gives us a feeling that they are in some secret meeting !! :)
Only one small suggestion - maybe you could have used a smaller aperture value - the green in the backdrop would be best suited if presented as a blur, and not as clear as they are.
All in all, I rate this photo 5.8 !
