Hi Chuck, I can see cutting out the sign as a distracting element, and "cleaning up" the image. However I think the sign does serve a purpose in adding context to the shot, by showing that there is signage in several languages informing travellers of the upcoming checkpoint. I guess it depends on exactly what you want the photo to portray to the viewer, how you might do the crop.
I did find the red lights on the video camera were a little distracting, and cropping off the bottom one might help that a bit.
Dave.

Kambiz,

Yes, it is a Sony video camera....a PD170 in fact...they are really good cameras and hold up well in harsh enviorments....

Best Wishes,
Chuck

Dave,

Thank-you...I was re-looking at the image...I'm thinking about cropping a little bit off of the right...just enough to take out the sign....and little off the bottom to keep it as a horizontal...what do you think?

Best Wishes,
Chuck
