Thanks for your kind comments Betsy! This is pretty original, a little tweaking in PS, but very true to the original. That hot light behind the burlap really warmed it all up. Once in awhile we get a truly "natural" subject too.

Hello to a fellow Badger, I'm near Milwaukee. There are so many lovely tones in this photo, it looks like a watercolor. Did you do some hand tiniting? I'd put a brown border around the head instead of the green, or a dusty blue like his eyes. What a wonderful subject and the use of burlap in the background adds to the overall mood of the shot. Isn't this a great site to get ideas from?
