Wonderful shots. This sculpture lends itself to be photographed. Would have loved the moon to be larger but we have no control over that. The time of night was a great choice. I also shot the "bean"..you can't help it. Great Shots.

I superb capture with great colors and saturation. I love it, Mark. My only suggestion, and it's very minor would be to crop the left side so that the arc of the sphere begins in the very bottom left corner. Nice work!! Steve

Excellent critique Hugo. I could not move the moon any further to the left and I just didn't like the angle that would have put it there. I'll have to wait for another night for that. The Tokina 12-24 is great, I'm having fun with it. The 1s exposure is approximate. I need to look at the exif to see what it actually was.
Thanks! -mm

Hi Mark, still a mesmerising scene, the high gloss of the stainless sphere, creating a natural wide angle view on the cityscape is captivating! Remarkable how the people in this shot are seemingly motionless in this shot during the 1s exposure, only a minor motionblur.. The people (including your reflection) add to this image. Just wish the moon was placed in the top left quadrant, as antagonist to the sphere, I think that would've really made this image tick. Either way, very well captured, with an excellent camera control...
Cheers,
hugo

I like this image quite a bit. Wonderful exposure and colors. I may have been tempted to do a bit of photoshopping on the dirt streaks on the steel but that would certainly be a personal preference. Very nice reflective shot!
Best, Dave

What's to critique? I like the shot, the exposure...everything.
I'm especially fond of the teeny glint of moonlight off the top of the bean. Great shot, Mark!

I like the detail of the condensation on the sculpture. The highlight from the moon is a bit of a distraction. I would remove that in photoshop. This sculpture is an interesteing subject to shoot. I have a few shots of tourists interacting and taking photos in front of the piece.
