Dear Adrian Thank you very much for the taking the time to comment on my image. I was after a sense of line and yes, it is taken from street level, but with a long lens (200mm). The lighting is a result of my preference to shoot either very early in the morning or, late in the evening. I find that is when light has its maximum effect on the things I enjoy shooting (ie. cityscapes). Anyway, thank you again. I certainly enjoyed the compliment. Regards John
I like this one! An apparently fairly straightforward image, but quite intriguing on examination. Not at all clear what one is looking at (eg diagonals, or horizontals viewed from below?) - as one's eye roves around the image, there are contradictory clues; the variation in lighting adds to the mystery, and the slightly off-centre composition reinforces the perplexity! Well seen and captured.
