Dear Ms. Russel, I've already commented on this photo, but would like to add a few words. I was mistaken. Wadi Rum is not across the River Jordan from us but further south, more or less opposite Eilat, where the photo you commented on was taken. I did not see (as far as I looked in your portfolio, but I may have missed them) photos from Petra, an ancient city carved in rock & if you are still in Jordan & have not yet been there, it's highly recommeded. I also wanted draw your attention to http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=949407 taken from Eilat & showing the mountains above Aqaba. Best regards, Rafi Springmann

I guessed this was not Canada, Ms. Russel. How could it be? looks much more like our Negev, just across the Jordan River. Very well composed to dwarf the human figures agains the big red rock & very well exposed to keep faithful to the color. Thank you for your comment on my "Love in Eilat." The texture effect in that photo was intended to disguise the identity of the subjects. You are, of course, cordially invited to read my bio & pay further visits to my portfolio. Best regards, Rafi Springmann

Super job, Melody. A very skillful composition. I remember shooting a lot of these same dunes and coming away with nothing.

Thanks Paul, I must admit however that I did remove three rocks that were in the dunes using Photoshop. The colour of the sand in Wadi Rum is really amazing.
