I went up to the roof to shoot the Harvest Moon. I got quite a few great photos out of it. I kept my shutter opened for an extended period on this photograph. I like the way that it kinda looks like the sun.
Hi Michael, The slow shutter as well as the B&W grain creates a rather spooky image to me. I like the hard contrast in this case. An interesting shot.
If you planned this shot to look like this, I think you handled it very well. I think it would also be interesting to see a similar photo with a smaller aperture at the same exposure time, I think that would've created a bit more details and contrasts in the foreground, easing down the hard contrast a bit.
As to the composition, I'm not so sure about the centered placement of the moon. It makes the image more static than needed, I believe. I think composing it more to the right could've balanced the composition, especially if you could include more of the house in the lower left corner.
