Fabulous abstract!! Gorgeous color/tones and shapes!!! What a neat use of a IR filter... hmmmm... this sure opens up possibilities and since I have the day off tomorrow... I feel a shopping spree comming up... I'll let you know later if I'm going to thank you or not (the latter will be if I spent too much... LOL). Excellent crop and composition... very well done!!

Hi Rashed,
I've sent you my email address so as to discuss the matter away from usefilm freely.
Actually I feel this guy is sooooo wierd and strange.... It was just when on 10th of Muharram when I wrote to him "happy Aashora" when I found him changed his way with me and I felt he became so rude with me (although I appologized to him if he misundertood me!).
Anyway, I read the conversation between you and him but what I want to tell you that I stopped commenting on his photos since then.

Actually Mohamed I bought it from Saudi Arabia, it's RM90, 52mm Hoya filter, it was the only one at the shop so I bought it.
I don't know the difference between different IR filters but I think this one is little bit dark and they recommended RM72 for the digital cameras.
You can find multiple articles on the web concerning IR photography wether 35mm or digital.

lovely colours...like Ameed elghoul said, am considering an IR filter too, i have lens size 58, where could i get it from egypt, or if i will get it from outside, what do i say to the person who will get it, and i have a film camera, i really dont understand how the IR works, but i like all the pix that comes from it ...
i hope u could help as i am lost :)

Actually Ameed this was the only IR filter at the shop when I purchased it........... !
Rabbina yesahil and I get used to it and know how to make use of it.

Actually the filter is Hoya 52mm Infrared (RM90) 52mm, it's still a long long way to go inorder to know all the usefull things considering this filter but I'm trying and trying, Rabbina yesahil.

Wonderful capture Khaled and for sure successfully as a first shot, I am sure you will be doing just fine with it, I am considering an IR filter, it open another potentials in photography :)
Btw, what kind of IR filter did you get? do you recommend it?

I have only seen Infra red used on landscapes where it turns the green to white, this is an interesting and different way to use it, it gives the light a very soft pinkish hue. Alison
