Hi Darlene...it is very sharp and I have followed the comments particularly those of Andre. It does come up set as medium and I haven't taken a blind bit of notice..Whoops!! I do like your colour changes on this shot, it has lifted the bird out and created a sort of 3D effect...Well done to you for the arty bit..'See' you soon. Best wishes...Ray

Hi Darlene, I really wish they would bring back that feature where we could preview our images before sending them. That way we could try out those sharpening options. Mine always opens up at Medium. But I always have to reset it to Light or None to make my images look decent. This option really played havoc with me on a couple of Landscapes till I realized what was happening. The only thing that none of us really know is how other peoples graphics cards are reading our images, even if they look right to us on our own screens :) We can only go by the comments people give I suppose :) Andre

Very nicely done, Darlene...there are some areas that give away the editing (the blurred talons, a few areas around the feathers), but overall it's a good effort, and I like the end effect. You're getting good at this, girl! Beautiful hues and as usual, the marvelous pose and composition.

DARLENE, GREAT SHOT; BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN THIS CLOSE TO ONE AND AM NOT IN TUNE WITH THEIR COLORS. I DO LIKE SHARPNESS AND HIS RELAXED POSITION. HOPE ALL YOUR FAMILY IS OK. REGARDS--SONNY

Hi Darlene, good effect indeed, I like the result too, it brings out the heron perfectly. Very high level of details; a good capture. Just curious what the original file looks like... The only thing I feel a bit ambiguous about is the branch where the heron is standing on; the lower part looks a bit unnatural, as it doesn't show any signs of depth, making it look a bit flat.
Cheers,
Hugo

Another beauty, Darlene. I think Andre has something there with the sharpening though...not too bad, but it's noticable. I've found that it you sharpen it yourself that checking 'none' is the best bet. Still a gorgeous image :) My legs used to look like that...lol

Hi Andre, Thanks for the comment my friend. I think the medium button was highlighted, I haven't changed it but looks like I'd better! Way too sharpened! Thanks for the heads up, next time I will check it. Hope all is well and thanks again. Darlene

Hi Darlene, Great pose and I like the background colours. I still prefer some of your other darker backgrounds, but sometimes things take a while to grow on me :) One thing no one has mentioned yet and that is the sharpness over-all may be too sharp. I know your original file will be excellent, but I think the new Usefilm process is just a little different than it used to be and you might be loosing some quality in the compression? Just for interest sake, which sharpness button did you highlight when you posted this one? None,Light,Medium,Heavy? Andre
