Hugo -
Different canyon. All is black and blue for the sake of making this a simple and graphic photograph. This is kind of like a natural homage to the Todd Miller simplicity.
I have another in the pipeline that will have foreground and background elements with a nice recession into space - just trying something a little new for now.

Hi Mike, The light here is much better now, but I can't distinguish any contrasts / shapes in the dark area... Only very barely a hit at the river. I think this flattens the image more than is needed (or beneficial), I believe. I do like the saturation and tones of the setting sun on the cliff, though.
