Very sensational view. I wouldn't have thought of it on my own, but Hesham has an interesting point in seeing echoes of middle eastern influence in this most western of forms. Another good reason to enjoy art and architecture--and to take a lot of pictures! ;-) Happy New Year, --George How did I get so far behind?

Thansk Serge...the tilt and the wide angle were intentional to show context and additional details

Dear Larry, technically (exposition and sharpness) very good shot. But you give a title "Widnow". Is so, I've some remarks. For window the portrait format would be more suitable, than "lanscape". Then, I'd correct perspective distortions and rotate image right a little. Third, you've tried compromize between high luminosity of window and low luminosity of interiour (like myself in my recent shot in the cathedral). For "Window" image I'd give a preference to exactly this subject and decrease exposition (or Levels).
From my point of view you can post next version of this interesting image.
Warm regards, Serge

Great shot. It gives us a view of the church as a whole and places the window in a context. A companion shot to it must surely be the window in isolation, so that we can appreciate the detail. Hope you can post one!
Good wishes for 2006.
