Pat this is not eagle, though from the raptor family, It is called Bramhiny Kite (Haliastur indus).

Yes, great perspective on thin one. It is an eagle, looks alot like an American Bald Eagle but the colors are little different. I wonder what type in actualy is? ANyway. Excellent capture!!

Great shot. I suppose a major aspect of photography is being in the right place at the right time. "Luck," is one word for it. However, one still has to be prepared to take advantage of such unique opportunities. I believe you have done just that with this wonderful photo. We'd all welcome more "lucky" shots like this.
