I don’t celebrate Christmas but many of my friends do so I quite often send a few home made cards, something we always did as children. They have in the past been mostly hand drawn but this year I decided to use the camera. It is made up as a mosaic, parts of around 20 pictures cut, overlaid and overlapping - I normally don’t even like to crop a picture so this was a major departure. In reducing the size of some elements I think I’ve lost some of the focus of the individual letters – I may revisit in some form sometime, but it’ll do for this season. Each picture was taken on a tungsten setting with 60watt bulb, 0.3 second exposure.
