A friend-of-a-friend asked me to do her senior portraits. I don't have any studio lighting so I said we'd have to do them outside. She said that's what she wanted anyway. I had done one yearbook photo before so this is really my first attempt at doing a whole senior set. They were really happy with them and now I'd like to get your opinion. I appreciate any feedback good, bad or ugly. Thanks Scott
Yes, depth of field. When I did the yearbook picture for someone else, I went really out of focus on the background and my wife thought that it was too much. So, this time I varied my aperature a bit to see how I liked the different effects. I think I like this one and I am also concerned that if I used any larger an aperature, I might have lost focus on her hand.
I like this image, the model seems to be very comfortable and relaxed. She is makeing great eye contact with the camera. My only suggestions would be maybe a tighter crop and a shallower DOF to blur the leaves just in front of her. But a great image with nice outdoor lighting
