william, very cool! i really like your composition and DOF. the oily grit, dirt and fibers on the teeth seem 3D. you certainly get the feeling that machine is used frequently and yet the tones impart it a sense of melancholy. of being once useful and yet now forgotten. excellent work!

I like the colors and detail. The line from the top of the screw leads perfectly to the gears. However, I find the out of focus diagonal line through the center of the image too distracting. It takes my eye and leads it right out of the picture.

Hi William, I find this a fantastic photo. Excellent DOF, and very good capture of textures and details. The worn down gearing and the various levels, both physical as well as created by the DOF create a very ingenious and well balanced image. Can't quite understand why you didn't receive any comments yet... I think it's a very good photo!
