Thanks for including the note about your PS process on this image and also uploading the variation. I don't think the edge line in the original photo is a problem at all. One technique I have used in PS to great success is to use a very small blur brush at high magnification to soften the intersection of adjusted and non-adjusted areas of an image. The blur tool is great at blending the hard edge of a selection-adjustment.

Best regards,
Mark

Impressive sky. If you had not mentioned the area where the sky meets the building, I wouldn't have noticed. I like it.

OOOOOOOO....you didn't save the original!!!! :) It happens. Alot of the times I see an image an the ideas start running and so does the editing and I forget to save my original in the excitment. Nice job...appreciate the explanation.

damion, i didn't; not really. What I did was lasso the sky portion of the photo, and maximized the levels in that portion only, giving the sky a lot of definition. unfortunately, I should have done something more w/ the border between sky and building which now looks unnatural. i think it would have been better done to include the building top and overpass in with the sky, and adjust the levels of all of them at once. In fact, I will, and here's how it looks: It's not all that different. I also just realized I committed the cardinal sin of not saving the original. Boo!!!
