They both have their own charm. If I had to choose, though, I'd go with the coloured as the little bud really appeals to me and stands out.

Well, Pat. The B&W treatment does make the sharpness of the bud more apparent....but I personally like the little purple bud which draws the eye. It's a toss up :-) Nicely done at any rate. Larry

I really like the way the B&W makes it look as if the stem is fading into the background, so the in-focus part of the flower really just pops right out at ya. A very unique floral, to be sure.
