I believe that would be spider food, not the spider itself. The small links inbetween the main strands are usually the sticky ones. I believe a spider generally only walks on the long strands of web which are not sticky. You can try this out yourself. Sorry it has taken so long to reply, I've only just realised. Thanks for the comment.

that's a very large web for such a small spider! ..assuming that's the spider up in the top of the right hand side of the web...then again it may not be..WOW! wonderful shot still a avery large web no mattter the size of the spider haha

really cool shot! I really like the idea. love the sticky web here... reminds me of the movie "Babe"... yeah the pig! This scene looks like the barn in that movie! :).. and oh I played a little bit with you image... hope you dont mind. :)
