About	I got there just in time to catch a few shots of the sun setting over this lake near my home. This shot had the least flair, and some nice colors as well. Let me know what you think.

The color is great indeed, John. Capturing sunsrise-sunset can be tricky at times specially avoiding flares. sometimes the filter you are using can actually cause the flare. remove it and see the result. or you just need to move to another angle/location. Cheers Art

Hi. Since it is the sunset you were after, why take so much ground in the frame, with the horizon in the middle of the picture? I would prefer the horizon to be about on the lower 1/3 of the frame, that way the sky and the sunset itself would get full attention (just cover the lower part of the picture with your hand or some piece of paper, leaving a small line of snow below the trees and see what happens...).
