Bill, I've found these very hard to Photograph even with two cameras. I found what worked here was shooting in the morning (Before 10AM. Then I reduce the exposure by .5 of 1.0. I checked your camera and it has...
Exposure Compensation from + 2 to - 2 exposure equivalents (EV) in one-third-step increments. This also helps in bright sunlight
