Thanks for the come back Oliver. Glad you took the sentiments in the way they were intended. Ref to digital wasn't meant as saying you need to go digital, just that I've experienced the same frustrations and digital solved it for me. I know how it is when you've loaded a film and you think you've got some beauts in the first few shots, then when you get the results - Ugggh - and you're so deflated. If ever I can help my email address is Denthompson8@aol.com. Feel free. Den
Thanks Den, it's great to get encouragement. I can see that digital does have the major advantage of instant review but the main reason I got the Minolta 600si is that I have a unit that can capture a wide range of effects at a fraction of the price of the equivalent digital. I'll just have to get used to the frustration and disappointment. With luck they'll reduce as I get better. I've just had a quick look at your portfolio, love the Jag. You and Margaret both have the kind of Photos I like so I'll certainly be keeping in touch. Thanks again, Oliver.

Hi Oliver. My partner, Margaret Sturgess, has just pointed out your portfolio to me. I know you're new to photography but your results so far show great potential. A state of disappointment comes over and that is good because you recognise the areas that you're not satisfied with and you know what you need to work on. I'm not claiming to be a great photographer, I'm not but I'd like to give you all the encouragement I can. If you look at my bio I say digital has removed all my photographic frustrations. By that I mean the same feelings you're experiencing. I've ranted on enough now so I'll just say DON'T GIVE UP MATE and let's see some more of that beautiful place you live in.
