very good capture of a very das situation. Reminds us how we we and our children are doing compared to this. Having kids myself I think I'd had a hard time walking those streets. Definitely crop off the top of the image to get rid of those feet up there.

I find this to be a very uplifting picture. I am touched to see such nobility in such circumstances. In spite of poverty I see beauty in the surroundings - the pastel colored fence - and the the eyes of the child. Such wisdom for someone so young. This could be a leader someday - someone who values human life. So rare today. He is more fortunate than the figure in the background who has no shoes and it looks like there is room to grow. I hope good things will come to him. This photo is truly inspiring and should win some kind of award and be a poster for liberation of the disenfranchised from homelessness and despair. It will live on in my memory. Thank you, Debprasad. Leora.

Debprasad this hits me right in the gut hard. In one aspect the poverty is just overwhelming on the conditions these young ones live in. However the care of this sibling (?) has in protecting the other one is inspirational. This is on the level of National Geographic. Hard to explain in words it is that moving of an image. No one should ever complain about their life looking at this image - very powerful and in a sense hopeful in a tough place. Should be an EC. This image communicates across all cultures. Kind Regards, Cindi

Even though he is holding an uncertain future, his eyes have so much dignity and pride.
How blessed we are everyday but also, so blind.

very disturbing picture. I would crop the picture more as well. I added it in my favorite to also remind to try to always do something about the horror of this world (even if it is a liitle, it is always better than nothing!!)

Discorso umanitario a parte, la foto mi piace molto, l'unica cosa che non mi convince è il taglio. Io eliminere un pezzetto in alto (i piedi)... ciao / 7 Gianluca
