Probaly you are right about catchlight... by the way I think that the dark atmosphere highlights an "intimate thought" attitude of the model.
P.S. The model is my daughter and I'm experimenting, trying to catch complex feelings that I'm not yet clever enough to stop in a frame.

What I miss in this portrait is a catchlight in the model's left eye, I think it would have made her expression more lively (compare with the attached version). Not sure about the underexposure, were you trying to get a sad mood or something like that?
