hello Monica :-)
you don't give any information about the exposure,but this seems a typical example of the 'zooming-during-longexposure' technique. Your picture is a good abstract but it could be much more interesting,in my opinion. The technique itself may be striking for someone who isn't aware of such effects,but I personally need to see an added touch of creativity from the photographer.
To do you justice,though,I have to say that even trying techniques like this one is a very good sign of a creative photographic approach. ;-)
