Wow, what a terrific prop. Love the colouring, although I can see this working nicely with sepia as the overall tone and then added colour as well. Great image, really lovely.

from the thumbnail, I didnt see the child... : ) I like the vignette faded edge effect on some photos, works well here... a twist on the normal, expected truck left in the weeds shot, very very fine.

Would like to thank everyone for their lovely comments. This picture is especially dear to me as it is my daughter, as some of you already know. And it is my first effort at tinting an entire picture in PS. I have alot to learn, but thanks to you folks who give me confidence and constructive critiques.......I will continue to grow and get better.
A. Murat - thanks for your advice on the frame. I intend to try it and see what it looks like. Appreciate the advice. I have a hard time with frames - I always want it to match the predominant color in the picture.

Hi Karen; 1st, thanks much for the generous comments you left on my "Whiskey Run Blues" photo-- and for adding it to your favorites-- that's special! it's a favorite of mine too. I see Richard Blount is a mutual friend, eg he invited me to join UseFilm, and we've exchanged several emails-- a good guy.
I love this picture-- your daughter is beautifully, and sweetly rendered here. Composition is perfect, and your PS toning work is excellent-- looks very natural. I notice that you use the word "blue" in several of your photos-- just curious about that? Finally, I learned to drive in about a 1950 vintage Chevy pick-up that this GMC reminds me of a lot, so it brings back memories. I'll add you to my list of "friends", and hope you'll do the same. A wonderful image - just the truck or the little girl would have made a terrific shot, but together, there's magic. You've added wonderful, warm effects to this to make it a stand-out. Bravo!

This shot simply Great. So very impressive image.. Composition is wonderful with one word..
The litle girl and her position in photograph, the flowers in her hands, the contrast between the old and the young... And also colors and tones.. What can i say, i guess everything is perfect in this shot except one thing!
IMHO, the frame is diffusing the concentration and emotionality.. first, it is very bold. secondly, color of the frame is directly related between the old trucks color.. And there is a white space between the photograph and the frame.. A black, 3 or 5 pixels frame could be better i think.. Of course all of these ideas coming from my opinions, please don't get me wrong..
