About He walked about the stadium shouting, "50! 50!" Every few steps he would top, look over the crowd and shout: "50! 50!" He was the "50/50" fella. Maybe this is only a Yank thingy. Here is how a 50/50 works. If you are feeling lucky, ya buy a ticket or 2 or 25. You pay the going price... then later, a number is pulled and if you win, you get 50% of the total take. The "50/50" is a staple of American mid-western get-togethers. And Roj, I have not forgotten your question about what the midwest is, exactly... I'll get back to you one that one.
